The student will be better able to make a choice of a health occupation that he/she plans to pursue. This course is taught for one year and it earns 2.0 to 2.5 Carnegie Units.

The emphasis of the second year is primarily to expose students to advanced skills in the various health occupations. Students will apply these skills during clinical experience rotations in selected health care facilities. This course is taught for one year, and it earns 2.0 to 2.5 Carnegie Units.
This program includes a minimum of 100 hours of clinical-type experience over the two year period. Students who complete Allied Health I may count credit earned in this course as one science credit toward graduation requirements.

Did you know that according to the U.S. Department of Labor one out of every 6 new jobs for the future will be health related? Half of the ten fastest-growing occupations are in health services.
There are over 200 health occupations. This is a field with endless opportunities and many rewards.
Economic security will be yours. Currently, the demand for health care professionals far exceeds the supply of personnel available to fill positions.
