Student Technogogy Exchange Program
Four 2nd year Technology Applications students graduated on April 29, 2008 from the Student Technology Exchange Program. The program took place at the Nissan Training Center. Students were given certificates and medallions for completing the program during
the year. Archilles J. won a $300 scholarship as the best student in the program from the Madison Career and Technical Center. The class was also awarded with a $500 grant
from the STEP foundation. The Student Technology Exchange Program is a collarboration between Missisissippi State University and its CAVS Center Extension, Nissan, the Mississippi Department of Education and four local school districts including Madison County. The 2nd year Technology Students in the program this year focused on the robotic technology used in the Nissan plant. Students learned to use the robotic simulation software in the computer classroom and also learned to program the large FANUC robots used in the plant. The students were able to use the robots in the robotic lab in the training center.
